Challenge?

Yes..this is it..I know what I am going to do(well I think I do!)
It has been eating me up..this thought of what to do for 100 days...What can possibly be worth doing for suchhhh a long time?
I have decided to be happy!
duhhh!!!
I know I know!Even I was expecting some kind of a breakthrough idea..but sorry... this is what I have decided ...
What makes me happy? Beauty!
Beauty makes me truly truly happy...like from within..
When I see beautiful things..my heart just smiles ..its that most dazzling smile of a beautiful woman with straight white teeth and the perfect pink lipstick.
So! I have decided that I am going to write about 100 things that make me happy..aka "beautiful things".
I am the sort of person who imagines a crying girl with waterproof mascara and the most curly thick eyelashes ever...So this shouldn't be too difficult..Dont you think?
But why am I doing this?
No I don't want to be the most popular blogger in town(though that would be bonus yes!)
No, I don't want people to read it..(Comeon...this isn't informative /beneficial for any individual)
I don't want to prove or disprove anyone
I don't want to kill time(though thats a secret mission alright!)
I want to see for myself if I am capable of this..and this means everything to me...
One should never be at a place where he/she loses trust in themselves..well..I definitely am in that place...So here I go...I start tomorrow..with something beautiful..something that brightens my day..something that makes me happy...

Day 34-Why Education?

I come from a country that has proven , time and again that in order to be successful, education may not be necessary. I have seen way too many men who haven't been educated but have made shit loads of money. So why be educated? Is education a tool to having a career/making money/securing a successful partner/making a name in the society? If that is so, why not teach children in schools ONLY about Physics and Maths and Chemistry and may be a bit of money management? Why do we teach Art and craft? Why do we want children to participate in the million activities-drama, dance, music, elocution and all of that importance we lay on extra curricular activities? Why help children acquire good handwriting? Why show them to appreciate music and art? No matter how hard I think, I go back to Montessori's answer-that one theory that is the basis of the Montessori principle-EDUCATION AS AN AID TO LIFE. Day 17-Mediocrity-is the name of the game

Of the many lessons that I have learnt after a few years of working in the corporate world and a few others in education, I have come to realise something about this nation that disturbs me. I use the word Nation and not the world because I do not know about the other races and so I refrain from giving my opinion on them.
