Day 16-Deconstruct the fragrance

Do you associate memories with smells(or vice versa)?
Have you seen or read something and felt like you can smell it?
Have you associated smells to people and stages in your life?
It is amazing how much this olfactory sense can influence one's thoughts or even state of mind
What are these smells that transport you in time and era and bring a certain warmth to you?
Have you thought about it?
These are the smells I consider the closest to my heart and what I associate them with-

Smell of oranges-christmas, fresh start in life, warmth, coziness, rainy days
Baby powder-newness, comfort, childhood memories
Rain-washing away of all sorrows, hot cup of tea, books with beautiful covers, that favourite song
That smell when garlic hits hot oil in the pan- holidays, free time, warmth
Vanilla- my favourite childhood bakery, Nigella Lawson, Absolut Vodka

The list goes on and on and on-Smells of
Rice cooked in Coconut milk and bay leaf,
kafir lime leaf,
Pineapple salsa,
Mom's starched cotton saree on a summer day
Dad's Old Spice aftershave
Bonny mix in hot milk

There are few smells that bring bad feelings, anger, contempt, fear too
Smell of cookies, Cinnamon, musk, papaya and a few other things

When you feel a certain emotion, can you deconstruct it too? Can you breakdown exactly what it is that constitutes that emotion?
Are you able to deconstruct the smell of your baby? Smell of your man?
Wouldn't it be fun to deconstruct the fragrance of YOU?
Want to try?
