Day 6- Pazhampori
Take all your most pleasant nostalgic moments together and make a sweet dish out of it--thats when you get this heavenly sweet thing called "pazhampori". One of the finest creations of my Kerala friends , You must really give it to these malayalees for they know how to live life.
The thing about this is, it is easily available and not so easily available. Ask a person outside Kerala, what a task it is to find this ...sulk sulk. Even in Kerala, there is a certain time during the day when you get it and if you don't manage to catch it then, then you may have to wait until the next day....tell me about the ordeal of that wait!
When the pazhampori is fresh...i.e. when it is right out of the frying pan, it certainly tastes the best.
You bite into it and you hear a "krrr"...Oh my!! Thats when you reach the doors of heaven. Then comes the soft sweet nendhran(that special red banana ) and you go straight into the best and happiest place in heaven. Its difficult to explain the dance of these flavours and what a treat it is for your taste buds.
Thank you Universe...I had not one..not two..but THREE of them today..Let us say..I indulged..without feeling one bit guilty about all that fat accumulation...
One life to live....What the heck!:)
