Day 50-Random acts of kindness

#high drama alert

I was watching a show today where a bride to be -from a very humble background gets to be dressed by one of the best designers and the entire wedding covered on tv...apart from giving her memorable experiences and making her a beautiful bride.
This show is usually high on drama and I do not like to see the pseudo accent and pseudo expressions of people on it but the one I saw today was truly touching.
The girl has a bit of a back story-she loses her dad at an early stage and is forced to stop school. She does small chores and raises money for her family and even manages to educate herself. Her mother makes ends meet by tailoring clothes for the people int he village.
You can imagine the scene now. can't you?
Now, this girl is invited to a big city and is showered with experiences that overwhelm her. She gets to stay in a 5 star hotel along with her mom, visits a beauty parlour for the first time and gets to wear make up-something that she never could have dreamt of. Apart from this ofcourse she gets to wear the finest couture and drowns in gifts that she couldn't have even dreamt of.
For a change in this show I got to see true happiness and more than anything else , GRATITUDE in the eyes of the girl and her mother.
I was wondering what kind of a feeling they should have been going through at each of the moments. We take so many things for granted in our life, it is when you watch such experiences that you truly appreciate the value of what you have.
I was also wondering what it should feel like to witness such happiness in somebody ..in person. Maybe once atleast in life, we must all try a random act of kindness and bask in the warmth of gratitude  ...a worthwhile project don't you think?
What act of kindness are you going to perform?
