Day 52-Classy!
In one of the casual conversations I was having with my sister today, we were talking about how beautiful a platinum ring looks and I was expressing my greatest knowledge about it , saying that, if one has to buy a platinum ring, one must make sure that it has a huge diamond set in it beautifully so that it looks expensive. Else it could end up looking like a cheap steel ring. My sister then remarked saying "But I will know it is Platinum. Isn't that enough?"
This statement really had me thinking.
Why do we splurge money on the most expensive brands? Why do we go looking for the perfect dupe of a brand? Why do we dress up beautifully when we head out and wear our most torn and dirty looking clothes inside home?
Most often all that we wear or own is to get the attention of others..For others to say..Is that a ___?And that statement puts us on top of the rainbow. Doesn't it?
But when have you dressed for yourself? Even when nobody is watching would you wear your most expensive looking clothes? If you could get the most perfect dupe of the Longines watch that nobody would know about, would you buy it?
They say, character is what you are when no-one is looking.
I say....How classy you are is defined by what you own and wear when no-one is noticing.
May all of us feel rich and sexy and classy...inside....rather than being judged by somebody else's standard.
