Day 60-The Inevitable

If you are a single woman who is separated/divorced, you will understand the pain of people asking you this question.."what happened?" with the utmost sympathy and pity in their voice, words and eyes.According to most people, in order to decide to live away from your partner or to break up with your boyfriend, one must have a concrete reason and it has to be a very serious problem--drug addiction, murder, impotency, inability to have children are few of those permissible reasons.
Most people do not recognise that "falling out of love" is a strong enough reason to stay away from the person.
I mean its beyond comprehension for many in my society. Even if you fall out of love, you are supposed to live with the person, because that is what a "morality" means. I do not understand how something as natural as falling in and falling out of love can be mixed up with something so synthetic and man made such as morality.
Say you fall out of love and still continue to live with the person ruining his and your life..isnt that more immoral?You can fool many people many times...even all of them all the time...but can you fool yourself?
What is more important in life than being truthful to oneself?
People grow up...people change...life happens...experiences happen..people fall in love..people also fall out of love..this is as natural as it is inevitable..
Get over it guys..Get a life...

Day 34-Why Education?

I come from a country that has proven , time and again that in order to be successful, education may not be necessary. I have seen way too many men who haven't been educated but have made shit loads of money. So why be educated? Is education a tool to having a career/making money/securing a successful partner/making a name in the society? If that is so, why not teach children in schools ONLY about Physics and Maths and Chemistry and may be a bit of money management? Why do we teach Art and craft? Why do we want children to participate in the million activities-drama, dance, music, elocution and all of that importance we lay on extra curricular activities? Why help children acquire good handwriting? Why show them to appreciate music and art? No matter how hard I think, I go back to Montessori's answer-that one theory that is the basis of the Montessori principle-EDUCATION AS AN AID TO LIFE. Day 17-Mediocrity-is the name of the game

Of the many lessons that I have learnt after a few years of working in the corporate world and a few others in education, I have come to realise something about this nation that disturbs me. I use the word Nation and not the world because I do not know about the other races and so I refrain from giving my opinion on them.
