Day 64-What we should tell our boys

There are few things we should tell/teach/show our boys but mostly don't. We all aim for a free, safe society for our girls...but to accomplish that, we need to educate our boys who will later go on to become gentlemen(or atleast we hope they will).
1. Gender equality does not mean "ruthlessness"
2. Women are not equal to men..they are superior(sorry boys!)
3. No matter how bad/wrong the women is, violence can never be used-raising your hands on a woman, using bad language, wishing unhappiness are all equivalent to violence ..so NO NO NO
4. If you want to be respected by a woman...learn to respect her first
5. There is nothing wrong with doing household work no matter how "henpecked" you may be perceived as
6. Men are allowed to cry...but please don't keep crying..it is pretty much digging your own grave!
7. Dont slap your wife but don't get slapped either(clearly plagiarised line..LOL)
8. Chivalry is not a thing of the past...practice it..it will take you places!
9. Charm works...but honesty works better!
10. Take care of your body and health. Don't expect to be taken care of..its the most putting off thing for a woman!
11. Never practice nor fall for drama
12. Smell nice---ALWAYS!
13. Wearing rags so that your woman can carry a Louis Vuitton bag is foolishness. Dress well..eat well...give yourself some credit!
14. If you can't maintain the "whiteness" of your shirt..please for heaven sake don't wear them.
15. Empower your woman rather than protecting her every single time.
16. If you are going to be losing temper over a woman..it clearly means you are not capable of handling her..move away
17. Treat all those who are lower than you in status WITH RESPECT
18. Make a difference in the life of atleast one child.
19. Be generous-while giving love and appreciation
20. LIVE AND LET LIVE!

 In case there is a man out there reading this and thinking that it is very biased and 20 pieces of advice need to be given to women as well...well....yes...another post is definitely dedicated to our girls...Damn..I have a target of 100 blogposts..dont you get it?LOL

Our generation has a peculiar problem of swinging between extremes . One group of the society considers girl children as a shame and engage in female infanticide and another group-the educated, cultured, modern group is the exact opposite. Day 34-Why Education?

I come from a country that has proven , time and again that in order to be successful, education may not be necessary. I have seen way too many men who haven't been educated but have made shit loads of money. So why be educated? Is education a tool to having a career/making money/securing a successful partner/making a name in the society? If that is so, why not teach children in schools ONLY about Physics and Maths and Chemistry and may be a bit of money management? Why do we teach Art and craft? Why do we want children to participate in the million activities-drama, dance, music, elocution and all of that importance we lay on extra curricular activities? Why help children acquire good handwriting? Why show them to appreciate music and art? No matter how hard I think, I go back to Montessori's answer-that one theory that is the basis of the Montessori principle-EDUCATION AS AN AID TO LIFE. Day 17-Mediocrity-is the name of the game

Of the many lessons that I have learnt after a few years of working in the corporate world and a few others in education, I have come to realise something about this nation that disturbs me. I use the word Nation and not the world because I do not know about the other races and so I refrain from giving my opinion on them.
