Day 75-A date with the hair stylist

There is one man a woman always has high hopes about-he is the blessed "hair stylist"..the man who she will trust her life...or hair with. We women have certain OCD habits- the most common one being  brushing one's teeth before going to the dentist..and the other one, is carrying a picture of some Hollywood celebrity with the most gorgeous (made up...unreal) hair to the stylist and asking him to create the same cut/colour. I mean...this is some level of confidence man!

I met my short term God/saviour today..the one who could give me a beautiful hair do...that would make heads turn and people gape...(until the first wash at home..after which the hair is USUALLY worse than before). Nevertheless we women have no problem indulging in the sweet words of the blessed man ..

It is usually a trance that one gets into...You start off with the most authoritative tone..showing pictures and defining exactly what you want ..even using the right jargons...
But then, that angel smiles at you...touches your hair...and oh...the next thing you hear yourself saying is "Do what you think will look nice"...I am sure most of these guys have a separate training on hypnotising their clients :)

They also have the sweetest demeanour -they speak in the softest tone...smile a lot...and the praises...its so so sweet....you could just bask in it all day! It is either about the eyes or complexion or just any damn thing to make you feel special...He then says "I am going to give you a beautiful cut...and you are going to look gorgeous after this"..I mean...Boyfriends of the many women in the world...are you all listening? These men should be put in glass bottles and preserved for life!!

The most interesting thing about your time with the stylist is...however much time you spend with him..half an hour or 5 hours...you are always in the same state of trance.
But, the moment you walk out of the goddamn salon....glass carriage turns to pumpkins...magic wand disappears..Cinderella is the plain jane in rags....

Once again in life....I resolve... that the next time I will not fall for the charm of the stylist...and a faint voice inside me chuckles as I say this....Damn!!!
