Day 77-Love thy pets as thyself !

Dog lovers please (don't) read this post

Well..I know the emotion of the people who love their pets to bits...love to cuddle...touch..be licked...etc.etc.etc...I can completely accept it when people say that dogs are the most loyal, kind companions and that they deserve to be treated well..

But let me present another perspective

There are a few people who fear/repel the fur and the saliva and the force and the touch of certain creatures(before you roll your eyes and start swearing, let me tell you this includes humans too).  Disclosure: I am one such person. I am not very comfortable with too much physical proximity even with human beings of either gender..so animals is just a no no. This includes birds, furry animals, soft animals...rough skinned animals...you name it. Being touched by them is like an  invasion of personal

space.Full disclosure: I am petrified of any creature moving especially if it is near me...caterpillars, butterflies, spiders, lizards, cats, dogs, squirrels, rabbits etc etc etc. I know you feel this is a condition that needs therapy.May be it is..but thats for another day.

I want to appeal to all those "extreme pet lovers" out there who don't walk their pets in a leash...who have gigantic pets and let them free on the roads, while they sadistically enjoy the sight of people like me being petrified of attack. You guys, have some mercy and most importantly please be sensitive to others' feelings instead of slaying these people and calling them inhuman and all that shit.

Cafes and restaurants and all those uber cool places which let people  walk in with their pets-keep a designated area (only) for the pets and masters and as far as possible, keep this zone shielded from the mere mortals like us. And please for heaven's sake put up a blessed board stating how much of animal lovers you guys are.

If there is even one person out there who has been nodding head continuously reading his post...Bro....you have my deepest sympathies.

Day 17-Mediocrity-is the name of the game

Of the many lessons that I have learnt after a few years of working in the corporate world and a few others in education, I have come to realise something about this nation that disturbs me. I use the word Nation and not the world because I do not know about the other races and so I refrain from giving my opinion on them. Day 34-Why Education?

I come from a country that has proven , time and again that in order to be successful, education may not be necessary. I have seen way too many men who haven't been educated but have made shit loads of money. So why be educated? Is education a tool to having a career/making money/securing a successful partner/making a name in the society? If that is so, why not teach children in schools ONLY about Physics and Maths and Chemistry and may be a bit of money management? Why do we teach Art and craft? Why do we want children to participate in the million activities-drama, dance, music, elocution and all of that importance we lay on extra curricular activities? Why help children acquire good handwriting? Why show them to appreciate music and art?
