Day 90-Do what you love..love what you do!

Everybody talks about passion these days. It is such a chiche’d word that sometimes you wonder whether people know what is the meaning of the word . How do you tell if you are passionate about something? What are the ways to make sure that what you do for a living is what you are truly passionate about.... so that you don’t have to “work’ anymore?
The first sign of doing what you love is getting into the “non complaining mode”. If you are truly passionate about coding, you would never complain about working hours, bad perks, no scope of climbing the corporate ladder etc etc etc. because you are immensely grateful for every challenge..every hurdle that is thrown in your way rather than sulking about it.
The next great sign is the immense pride in small successes. A simple thing like being able to accomplish a small task that people don’t even recognize as a task is a good indication.
The last but sureshot sign is catching yourself do things that you thought you were never capable of doing and not even realizing this.
If all the above points were checked for you..Congratulations…You don’t have to work at all in your life(and you can get paid for it..wow!!)If even one of them weren’t, time for a career change…life change.
Life is too short..Let us live every minute fully!Let us feel alive…

Day 17-Mediocrity-is the name of the game

Of the many lessons that I have learnt after a few years of working in the corporate world and a few others in education, I have come to realise something about this nation that disturbs me. I use the word Nation and not the world because I do not know about the other races and so I refrain from giving my opinion on them. In case you have been fortunate enough to have an extremely talented person as a relative or a friend or if that person happens to be you-someone who wouldn't settle for anything less than excellence, you might have noticed that these people are usually what the society would call "unsuccessful" or "unpopular". Day 34-Why Education?

I come from a country that has proven , time and again that in order to be successful, education may not be necessary. I have seen way too many men who haven't been educated but have made shit loads of money. So why be educated? Is education a tool to having a career/making money/securing a successful partner/making a name in the society? If that is so, why not teach children in schools ONLY about Physics and Maths and Chemistry and may be a bit of money management? Why do we teach Art and craft? Why do we want children to participate in the million activities-drama, dance, music, elocution and all of that importance we lay on extra curricular activities? Why help children acquire good handwriting? Why show them to appreciate music and art? No matter how hard I think, I go back to Montessori's answer-that one theory that is the basis of the Montessori principle-EDUCATION AS AN AID TO LIFE.
